Waste water neutralization

← All Topics

Wastewater neutralization is a process used to remove contaminants from waste water and convert it into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle with minimum impact on the environment, or directly reused. The neutralization includes raising the pH of the water with the addition of for example limestone or caustic soda, which in turn cause metals to precipitate and settle.
