“Polymeric NanoBioMaterials for drug delivery: developing and implementation of safe-by-design concept enabling safe healthcare solution” GoNanoBioMat

  • The GoBioNanoMat project aims to enable SMEs (small and medium size enterprises), their suppliers, and research institutes to work on the development and production of polymeric nanobiomaterials for drug delivery by developing and implementing Safer-by-Design (SbD) approach.

The project’s objectives are:

  • Develop a knowledge base and guidelines for polymeric nanobiomaterials for drug delivery using Safer-by-Design approach
  • Developing and implementing SbD thinking in the innovation process
  • Consolidate and verify SbD approach in real industrial driven case studies using Chitosan, Polylactic acid (PLA) and Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)
  • Consolidate these guidelines with industry and regulatory agencies to develop a comprehensive document for industry
  • Disseminate the developed knowledge and concepts, and develop and offer training modules

Reduce uncertainties and commercial risks for polymeric nanobiomaterials drug delivery applications
