  • Project realization period is 5 years in period 2015. – 2020.
  • The total budget is 5.6 mil. $, Japan side 4.8 mil. $, and Serbian side 0,8 mil. $
  • Project includes sampling, exploratory drilling, remote sensing by satelites of the Eastern Serbia area and laboratory and pilot testing of advanced technologies for the revaluation of useful components and neutralization of process effluents that could ensure sustainable development in mining areas in Serbia.


  • Precise geochemical map of the Bor and Majdanpek areas,
  • Recommended technologies for sustainable mining development in Bor and Majdanpek area that could be applied to other mining areas in Serbia,
  • 2 PhDs at Akita University in Japan for researchers from Serbia,
  • Specialization in the Project activities for 30 Serbian researchers in Japan,
  • Training and specialization in satellite imaging in terrain mapping in J-spacesystems for 10 Serbian researchers,
  • New laboratory equipment, pilot plants and recording equipment in MMI Bor laboratories,
  • Common testing of MMI Bor laboratories and laboratories in Japan.
