Training session no. 4 – Sample collection and physicochemical analysis on site
2020-04-30 @ 19:00 - 20:00 EEST
In this training session 2 topics were presented, namely:
1) Physical parameters assays of water samples – This presentation outlines the main procedures used for physicochemical analyses. WUT team along with students – volunteers will perform measurements in situ of some parameters like temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity. All these physical parameters define the quality of water so it is very important to monitor them. To measure water samples temperature, pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen we will use multimeter 340i WTW. The turbidity will be assayed with portable turbidimeter 2100Qis. In order to execute an accurate measurement staff undertaking analytical determinations, both in the field and in the laboratory, must know the specific procedure. All staff should be trained in analytical procedures relevant to their work.
