The synthesis of advanced materials, their characterization and testing for treatment of polluted waters: 1. Up-to-date documentation on the latest discoveries of science and technology regarding the advanced materials used for purifying water polluted with heavy metals. 2. Establishment of advanced materials and methods to be used in this project. 3. Strategies to optimize the synthesis and characterization of advanced materials based on different physicochemical parameters. 4.Testing the synthesized materials and applying the treatment technologies for water samples collected.
The activity responds to all the objectives, but especially to: 2. To evaluate by comparison the state of pollution of a river from Borski area in which mining wastewater is discharged with that of a river from Caras-Severin County and 3. To research non-conventional methods for the remediation of wastewater from mining exploitations of non-ferrous metals. Both partners are responsible, the activity is realized with the funds from both partners
