The population that will indirectly benefit from the water treatment and soil remediation (estimated at approximately 200.000 people)
The people from the border regions will benefit from the project results by the increase of their life quality. Considering the reduction of the pollution in the cross-border areas, the application of less pollutant technologies or other actions proposed by the present project the people from the eligible areas will have some economic (e.g. maintaining the work places) and social benefits, respectively (e.g. unemployment reduction and maintenance of the social status, reduction of some personal expenditure due to the increase of the quality of life).
