ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE (AERI) / INSTITUTUL DE CERCETĂRI AVANSATE DE MEDIU (ICAM)
The main goal of the project is the construction of a new building as the main research infrastructure of West University of Timisoara (WUT), the proposal was initially made by Prof. Dr. Vasile OSTAFE in a national project. AERI will be equipped with the most advanced research instrumentation and aims to:
- Concentrate, integrate and develop the research potential of the present and future personnel and students of WUT, in collaboration with other interested institutions;
- Perform the scientific research in WUT in an integrated and multidisciplinary manner;
- Secure the international competitiveness and visibility of the researches accomplished in WUT by developing the research units and providing top-level scientific equipments;
- Actively contribute to the technological transfer of the scientific results realized in WUT toward interested companies;
- Actively participate to the development of excellence poles in theoretical and applied scientific research
- Actively contribute to all kind of activities – scientific research, problem solving, analysis, studies, etc. – in environmental protection issues of Romania and European Union.
AERI is only a part of the new WUT campus from Oituz area in Timisoara:
