In the eligible Romanian region the research activities at excellence level are sustained by the UVT as in the Serbian region the MMI represents the leading institution in pursuing research activities in the field of mining, metallurgy, environmental protection, waste management, chemical analysis.

The network will become a promoter of the research in the border area and will gather other institutions from adjacent domains.

To increase the network visibility, an international conference will be held and publications in ISI journals will be made.
