| Experience/expertise in the field addressed by the project (max. 1000 characters) | Today, after 47 years, MMI represents the leading institute to perform R/D activities in Republic of Serbia related to: geology, mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, environmental protection, waste management, IT engineering, chemical and mineralogical analysis.Concerning the quality and quantity control of goods, living and working environment MMI yearly process: more than 100,000 samples for analyses of all natural chemical elements; more than 1,000 samples for mineralogical and phase analyses of complex materials; more than 1,000 samples for water and soil quality analysis; more than 1,000 samples for air quality analysis; more than 100 periodical controls of working environment and work tools-chemical hazards (dust loading, analysis of dust, gases and vapors), microclimate analysis and physical hazards. Since 2006 MMI has formed its Waste Management Laboratory with next main objective case: management, treatment, characterization and recycling of wastewaters and solid wastes; TCLP, cleaning technologies investigation and wastewaters purification; risk assessment study, tailing depositing study, impact study and etc. | ||||||||
